I tried to set up Windows 7 using the ISO and a USB stick. Some people suggest changing it for USB 3.0 compatibility, but is it still possible after installing? How can I make sure my drivers and cards work properly on Windows 7? – Adit

The Windows 7 installer doesn’t support USB 3. You’d have to use a USB 2 port or alter the installer beforehand. As long as your hardware manufacturers still provide drivers for Windows 7, it should function. However, you shouldn’t keep using Windows 7 anymore because support has stopped and no more security patches will be released.

Consider using USB 2.0 initially and later switching to USB 3.0 after setup. Edited November 24, 2022 by Adit Gadkary

The manufacturer continues to supply USB chipset drivers for Windows 7, so the answer is yes.

Thanks for the details. I’ve chosen to set up Windows 11 because it’s secure and well-supported.
