Can I move Windows between computers? I watched a video about it but I'm not sure if it's real. I have an 8.1 and can upgrade to 10. Another source says you can't, so that's not possible. After reinstalling on my old machine, it doesn't work, any way to fix that? Also, how can I transfer Windows from a disk 0? I think that recovery partition was overridden and I want to restore it if it works.

Upgrading isn't possible because cloning the HDD might cause driver problems and could trigger a BSOD. Using the same license on multiple computers violates Microsoft's licensing rules.

I don't believe you grasped this. My goal was to apply the upgrade so Windows could move to another machine. The two drives belong to the identical system and won't be relocated. I understand, I'm not sharing the same license across both devices.
