In fact, I have some questions about overclocking. I'm working on an EVGA 1gb GT 710 (with fan, not passive cooling) using EVGA PrecisionX16. I'm not trying to push the card beyond its limits or shorten its lifespan. I just want to increase its speed a bit. Here are my concerns...

1. What is the safe range for overclocking without causing a crash or damaging performance? (General guidance.) Currently, my benchmark improved from 438 to 542 on Unigine Valley Benchmark, which is roughly a 20% boost. Is this sufficient, or can I push further without harming the GPU?
2. My GPU clock was set to +185 MHz and memory clock to +300 MHz. How much should I increase each? Also, what should be the GPU/Memory Clock ratio? Should I raise the GPU clock only half as much as the memory clock?
3. I can't adjust my Power Target or GPU Temperature Target. When I try, the program window just stalls instead of adjusting the slider... :/
4. I prefer not to change the voltage much. The original was 987mV. But if I switch profiles or close and reopen, the voltage jumps all the way up to 1162mV!!! Why is that happening? Should I lower my clock offset or something? I'm really worried this might harm the GPU.

All advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to overclocking and don't want to make mistakes. Thanks!

Will the voltage adjust to what it requires? You can increase it, or what? I'm still trying to understand.

Everything is fully secure
Avoid altering the voltages
You can boost the core clock to 290mhz without any danger
