Varies by project requirements. I’m familiar with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. AutoCAD runs smoothly on nearly any machine, while SolidWorks demands more power but functions on older systems with Intel E7300s. Performance dropped during heavy fillets and when fancy shaders were off. On my setup, an AMD 7850K with a 290 handled everything well—especially with shaders enabled via a registry tweak that works on consumer cards.
