Starting fresh isn't necessary. I picked an Alienware R10 Ryzen build and needed to upgrade RAM and storage. Right now it runs 8GB HyperX FURY DDR4 XMP at 2666MHz. I checked if I could buy more RAM there. https://www.hyperxgaming.com/us/memory/f...C16FB3%2F8
Should I purchase another 8GB at 2666MHz for $36? Or should I opt for two 8GB units at 3200MHz for $85? Probably looking to sell the old one around $20 on eBay.
Two quick questions about the RAM:
1. Does higher MHz really matter for gaming and video editing? (I plan to use 4K soon) Will the system automatically adjust for faster memory?
2. Among the four RAM slots, are there any preferred ones?
3. My SSD is a 1TB HDD with a 7200RPM drive. Can I easily swap it in or do I need BIOS/Windows changes? (I saw a recommendation for M.2 slot.)

I’m also looking at the AMD Ryzen 7 label for custom settings and safety guides in multiple languages.
