Hello everyone, I’ve got my build ready, I’ve already purchased some components, now I just need to collect the processor and the motherboard. What do you think? Is this a solid setup? I plan to use it mainly for streaming, video editing, and gaming, with only CPU overclocking to max 4.2/4.3. How do you expect it to perform? Should I switch to a different motherboard and go with the Crosshair Hero VIII? I don’t intend to overclock unless there’s an easy way to reach that speed. I bought the MSI RX 2080 Duke OC because it was on sale.

PCPartPicker has the parts list:
CPU – AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz, 12 cores – $493.84
Cooler – Corsair H150i PRO 47.3 CFM – $174.99
Motherboard – MSI MEG X570 ACE ATX AM4 – $339.99
Memory – G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB DDR4-3600 – $294.99
Storage – Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB M.2 – $259.99
PC Case – AORUS NVMe Gen4 1 TB – $259.99
Monitor – MSI GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB DUKE – $1348.45
Case Cooler – MasterBox TD500 Mesh White with Controller – ATX Mid Tower – $106.99

Total comes to $3,493.23 (including shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts). Let me know your thoughts!

Would be simple to reduce $500 from the overall expense while maintaining the same results.

It's not bad at all. Avoid the MSI motherboard and consider options from Gigabyte or AsRock.

Plan your investment wisely—opt for the 3950x if budget allows. If unavailable, hold off. The 3900x is outdated. For the motherboard, choose the Z390 master for its VRM heatsink. RAM performance is solid but timing/optimization matters; consult experts for significant gains. Replace the HDD with another SATA or M.2 SSD if you hear clicking noises. Your monitor offers 70% RGB and DCI-P3 support with low contrast—consider upgrading to a model like the 27QD or L850 if you haven’t already, as it wouldn’t complement this build well.
