ryzen5Is This A Normal Result!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was just wondering if anyone else has gotten a Ryzen 5 3600X that scores this high on CPUZ. The CPU is not overclocked and it is on a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro WIFI with 32GB of Corsair ram running at 3596Mhz with XMP profile 1. It scored better then the Ryzen 9 3950X. I don't know if this is a glitch or if I hit the silicon lottery! If anyone has experience with this CPU and has a similar score, please let me know by posting a screenshot of your score. I am really interested in finding out if this is common and if not, why is mine scoring so high. Oh, by the way, the screen shot is the score for single thread work load.
It's actually 24 points higher than the 3600x they listed (505), and I wouldn't expect such a strong increase from just XMP. In reality, XMP only adds a 3-point boost. The screen print below displays the score without XMP enabled. I plan to overclock it shortly and will share the updated score once it's done.
In terms of boosting performance, I've reached 4500MHz with a +0.024V boost at 43°C when idle and up to 69°C under full load after temperatures stabilize. This is the first time I've tested this setup, so it's possible the CPU could be performing well. For everyday use, the screen print below demonstrates my results. I can run the standard configurations smoothly while gaming and during home work sessions. My CINEBENCH R15 scores are 165.62 for OpenGL, 1575 for CPU, and 197 for single core CPU. The R20 scores stand at 3854 for CPU and 547 for single core. The Cinebench numbers were calculated using all default options. Regarding Cinebench, I'm still unsure what typical benchmarks look like. If these results are satisfactory, let me know!
I overlooked mentioning that I'm using Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview Evaluation Build 21277.rs_prerelease.201207-1443—the latest DEV release at the time of writing. It's possible this version improves CPU performance.
Uncertainly. Still, without OC and with XMP at 3200, my CPU hits 1452 on CB r15 when the fans run quiet. I have six case fans that could be boosted to raise the score even further.
Transitioned to CPU designs, motherboard configurations, and memory systems.
You're open to sharing original results. I'll keep track of stability and scores. Let's see how the OC performs. Cinebench R20 Firestrike and Prime95 endurance tests are key indicators. If you pass all three, it confirms a solid overclock. Feel free to share the numbers!
