Intel I5 11600k uses a TDP of 125W, while Ryzen 5 5600X has a lower TDP of 65W. Overclocking the Ryzen 5 to match the 125W limit won’t give it more power than the I5 at the same TDP. The performance difference will depend on how each chip handles the heat and voltage limits, not just the TDP numbers.

It all comes down to how effectively each chip handles overclocking.

Both processors deliver comparable results under stress, much like stocks. The Intel model uses more power, making it tougher to keep cool, yet with adequate cooling, the difference in performance would likely be hard to spot.

Your setup with a 250W cooler should support the Ryzen 5 5600X better, as it can run at higher overclocks compared to the Intel 11600K. The 5600X handles more heat and performance demands, making it less likely to be a bottleneck.

It would make for an interesting discussion if processors had been developed just a few weeks back

it doesn't perform as expected, but using both the 11600k and 5600x at 200w gives the 5600x a slight edge in most situations.
