No one has shared their experiences with overclocking the Ryazan Threadripper 1900X. What frequencies have you managed to reach and under which configurations? The top results mention around 3.9GHz, though many consider those numbers modest.

It is basically an r7 1700x or 1800x, so don't be too hopeful of getting it anywhere over 4.0 or 4.1ghz on water or air. It is an first gen product, and you can clearly feel that.

3.9GHz was a typical upper limit I recall. Early Ryzen models often reached around 4.0GHz, while many only hit about 3.7GHz per core.

Initial generation TRs perform well on their own clocks, but exceeding them quickly leads to rapid instability.

That component stands out. Even Zen+ found it difficult to reach that stage. You shouldn't assume this will become standard.

Yeah, that's true. I managed to get friends running at 1700 to 4.1 across all cores, but keeping it steady at 1600 on six with 4.0 was tough and ended up reverting to 3.8. It doesn't really matter since both were later fixed back to the base boost settings—these small frequency tweaks didn't really help with his editing or my 3440x1440 gaming.
