The PCB remains the same. However, the key point is clear. The Ryzen 5 1200 features 4 cores using a 0.014 micron FinFET (14nm) design. The Ryzen 7 2700X offers 8 cores with 16 threads on a 0.012 micron FinFET (12nm).
Also observed that the unit on the left appears to use a different version of TIM (or its equivalent), while the right side shows a full wrap-around dye coverage. The bottom section missing on the left might just be random, but it caught my attention because a first-gen Ryzen 3 requires far less power than the top-end Ryzen 7 2nd gen.
That is some sort of protective glue. It's hard and will flake off if picked at with your thumb nail for example. I think they coat the little transistors for the soldering process in case there is excessive push out. There is also a square line underneath the IHS plate as well, but it looks like a particular kind of paint. I lapped it off the bottom of the 2700X however.....

Exactly, it's much darker than the nearby area. The lighting seems a bit off—maybe a little too close. Taking photos is tough; it doesn't work as well as looking at things directly. Fluorescent lights appear bright white to us but look quite different to cameras.
I need the information right away. I’m quite eager to finish this before I drift off, otherwise I won’t be able to sleep, haha!
