If you receive another 3600 stick, both will reach 2666 regardless of the setup. Combining different sticks isn't always reliable due to factors like XMP and DPC settings. You might consider a fresh 2x8 3200CL16 unit or a 3600 CL16 model (though Zen +'s may face challenges with 3600). Alternatively, obtain another stick rated for 2666 and test manual overclocking capabilities.

It depends on your needs and budget. The extra gigabyte might be worth it if you're willing to pay more for better performance. If you need 25GB, swapping everything for $130 could save you money. For the RAM setting, yes, it simulates having 3200 RAM slots in your system.

It worked at 3200 RPM and stayed steady, so the answer is yes. You might upgrade to a different model or try a 2666 stick to see how much farther you can go. The extra performance gain wouldn’t justify the cost.
