So I've been using AMD's Ryzen Master software for overclocking and IT's GREAT!!! I haven't found anything else I like nearly as much... So today, I added Windows Hyper-V, and Sandbox to my Windows 10 install. Upon attempting to load Ryzen Master I get an error message stating that Ryzen Master won't work with Virtual Based Security enabled... This is REALLY Frustrating.. So far, It looks like the answer is "If I want to use Ryzen master, I can't have Hyper-V installed, or if I want Hyper-V, I can't have Ryzen Master installed"!!!! I'll update if I find a solution, however this is going to be my new work computer... I also do gaming at work when I'm bored, so Its built with a lot of gaming based hardware.. I also need Virtualization setup for running Linux and Mac OS Boxes on it.. Why couldn't AMD make it work??? I've NEVER Had issues like this with ANY Intel CPU!!! Now I'm starting to understand why the 2700X is cheaper than Intel's I9-9900K... (and slower too) I'll let you all know what I find.. Hello friend. Unfortunately, I’m not alone in this situation. Many others who bought a Ryzen beyond just gaming or simply kept it on hand didn’t find much value from it either. It seems they released the 1.2.0.540 version that worked for us online, but I’m still searching and can’t locate it anywhere. If anyone found it in the end—especially in an older thread—I’d really appreciate sharing it with you. Newer Ryzen master versions don’t seem to offer much benefit for older CPUs like mine. Only the latest Ryzen (3000 series) get new features, which makes sense since they’re designed for those processors. It feels like they abandoned us after the initial release and didn’t bother revisiting it. They don’t explain their decision clearly, which is frustrating for users like me who want to move forward without feeling trapped. I’m a user of the R7 1700 and must choose between virtualization features or Ryzen Master software. That’s why I often skip using Ryzen Master altogether. It would be great if I could use that older version, which was meant specifically for my CPU, and it actually worked. Regards, Paco Romero
