It seems a bit confusing, but based on recent trends, the price of the previous CPU model should drop. With the new Ryzen CPUs, it’s likely to become more affordable. Estimating the cost for the R7 5600X at 275 GBP and the R9 5600X at 370 GBP would depend on current market prices, but generally, you can expect a reduction in price as demand shifts.

I mean we don't have the full picture and guessing won't help much, but because the silicon shortage isn't resolved yet, I wouldn't expect a big drop soon. If things hold up, there should still be a chance to explore the used market and find a good deal.

We'll have to wait a while for clarity. The Ryzen 2000 dropped sharply after the Ryzen 3000, I got a 2700X for roughly $120 (just about it), while the Ryzen 3000 didn't fall nearly as much—my best guess was around $3900X at $300-350. All prices in the US up to now. I'd like to see the 5700X near $200 and the 5600X around $100, but we won't know for sure until prices settle around November or December.
