I once played Minecraft on an old Pentium 4 2.8GHz Windows XP system. I managed smooth recordings at over 60fps in 1080p on a modern desktop with a Core i5 4440 and GT 635. My older i5 9600K+2060 Super setup rarely fell below 144 fps even at 1440p max. In short: you don’t require such powerful hardware for Minecraft unless you’re running many mods or doing other intensive tasks. This is far more than necessary.
