Ryzen 9 5950x overheating on NZXT Kraken X240 setup
Hey everyone, I recently got a Ryzen 9 5950X CPU. I know it can get quite hot, but I'm using a NZXT Kraken X240 setup. I've re-applied thermal paste across the whole chip, tightened all brackets and screws, cleaned my AIO three times, and everything seems to be working fine. The pump is running smoothly, the fans are doing great, and at idle it's around 53°C—considered acceptable. However, when I run it at 6C 12T (which is usually 16C and 32T), the temperature spikes to 65°C. I noticed that during idle it's only 29°C under load, which is way too low for what it should be. I'm not sure if the pump is the issue, but I think the cooling might be insufficient under higher loads. I've built over ten PCs and understand what I'm doing, but I'm stuck. My guess is the cooling system isn't handling the heat properly at higher speeds.
i located it, my bios adjusted the core count because of the pbo lower, but the clock boost was around +1 ghz on auto. i disabled it and it started using all cores with the base clock speed working perfectly. this happened since i never touched the bios before, but it’s now fixed.
