Hi guys, I'm working on getting my new Ryzen build to run smoothly above 3.8ghz. It seems the problem lies with my RAM's timing and speed settings not staying consistent after changes. I can stress the CPU without issues, but anything involving RAM always causes crashes. My motherboard (Gigabyte X370 Gaming 5) has set my RAM to 2133mhz with 15,15,15,36 timings, which is lower than the rated speeds of 16,18,18,36. This mismatch might be making the RAM unstable. The main challenge is that I can't adjust the settings in BIOS, and even after changing them, the changes don't last. All programs, including Ryzen Master, still report running at the default 15,15,15,36. Any suggestions?

Seanie280672 says the speeds and voltages in the bios seem incorrect. They think the bios might be sending wrong data to the software, and their cpu isn't at 6ghz. They wonder if the bios is up-to-date. They're using the latest stable version (f4) but are testing with a newer one (f5g). LOL, they're confused because the bios claims stability while SIV shows it's on F3, which seems odd. They're unsure which software to trust and think the cpu might be running much faster than expected.

It should operate at 2933mhz with frequencies 16,18,18,36. I manually set them, but Ryzen Master shows the same result.
Instead of changing those settings, I loaded an XMP profile and reduced the speed to 2933mhz, keeping timings and voltage unchanged. The XMP profile handled it well; I also increased the Dynamic SoC voltage slightly (+0.090v on top of stock) if it improves performance. Make sure the north bridge voltage stays below 1.2v total—this includes the IMC and is built into the CPU.
Also, I noticed you’re using four sticks, which increases CPU load. You might need to lower the frequency to 2666mhz and set command rate to 2T, as AMD boards usually default to 1T.
These are the settings I'm using but I'm having trouble with stability. What adjustments should I make?

Memory timing mode is set to auto, memory voltage mode to auto. Since you've already configured the CPU core voltage, adjust your Dynamic Vcore (DVID) to a normal setting and don't let it auto. Did you manually set the Vcore SoC to 1.2500? Your stock voltage for this model is 1.1V, but it shouldn't exceed 1.2V maximum. I would lower it to 1.15V myself—no need for much more.

Auto voltages can be unreliable; you never really know what the BIOS is doing unexpectedly.
SoC voltage is tricky—both too high and too low are problematic.
After saving and exiting, return to the BIOS and take another picture showing your current voltages.

The changes have kept the ram speed and timings unchanged from the default settings according to cpuz. Could you share a picture of CPU-z? I think it might be showing incorrect data. My Ryzen system uses AM4 RAID, and it’s still quite buggy. I’m trying the AIDA64 Extreme version at https://www.aida64.com/downloads/ODlhYmU3NWE= to check timings and other details. This might help a bit. Fast forward to 1min 30secs.
The ram remains unchanged compared to before in cpu-z.
This issue is coming from aida's mem section. I'm really puzzled because the mem changes won't show while the cpu settings do. Should I adjust my voltage settings to match what the others are using in the video? Thanks for your help!
