Hello! Your intention to upgrade from Ryzen 5 2600 to Ryzen 7 5800X3D is clear, but I need to check if your M.2 B450 Tomahawk motherboard can support that CPU. Let me know if you'd like a detailed breakdown!

Thanks! Your questions about RAM and cooling are clear. Your DDR4 16GB at 3000MHz should work fine with the CPU, but you can increase RAM to 3200 if needed. For cooling, your iCool XT225 seems adequate for the TDP of 210W.

Yes, it's okay for both. Make sure to verify your BOIS version, TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING Motherboards for ASUS USA.

You'll need to reinstall the BIOS again after upgrading from the Ryzen 5 3600x. Your Asus Prime B450M-A is compatible, but ensure the BIOS matches your new processor.

I think the cooler should handle the task but it might run a bit hot, which could hurt performance because of lower clock speeds due to heat. It should still work okay for gaming, RAM should stay stable at 3000mhz, but faster RAM would likely improve things—upgrading might not be worth it on your budget. (I’d probably choose a better cooler first.) For example, with my current build running at 3600mhz and only 1800mhz, I reach around 90°C in R23 without throttling, clocks average 4.2GHZ and I score about 14k. Others with better cooling get marginally better results, and I have a much superior cooler than you (Dark Rock Pro 4). Just keep in mind gaming loads stay cooler. If you decide to upgrade, make sure to update the BIOS before replacing the old chip.
