We have more affordable B450 choices and superior B550 models at comparable or slightly higher prices. Could you share your budget range and the other parts you plan to use?

High price for the board. More affordable alternatives exist. For the B450, Tomahawk Max, Mortar Max, and A Pro Max (Non M) work well. For the B550, Aorus Pro is suitable. Strix Tomahawk Mortar X570 is recommended. Tomahawk X570-P X570 Tuf is also an option.

It's acceptable, but I'd likely choose a B550 Aorus Elite (ATX, not mATX) or opt for a bit more at a B550 Aorus Pro, B550 Tomahawk or Strix B550-F. The B550 M isn't the best pick. The mATX versions of the B550 Elite and Pro (and possibly others) share similar VRMs to Gigabyte's B450 boards, which were limited to basic 8-core setups.
