Recently I checked my PC temperatures and noticed the CPU was around 50°C even when idle. This wasn’t something I monitored during gaming, but I wanted to confirm if it’s typical for the stock heat sink. I’ve only adjusted the fan speed to maximum, so I’m curious whether this is normal or if it signals a need for a better cooling solution.

Idle times don’t count if it stays stable under stress. My 2700x runs at 45°C during quiet periods and hits about 70°C while working hard. What’s the temperature range?

Normal readings observed. Check load temperatures, not idle levels.
