They don't need it. Just a 3600mhz CL16, not the higher setting if possible.

The strap at 3800 marks the point above 3600, the initial section where the fabric automatically splits. AMD claims 4000 is now the primary strap for automatic fabric division, positioning 3800 as the optimal zone right before that.

Based on the 3000 series, a few could achieve 1900 if, many could reach 1867 if, everyone would do 1800 (maybe some lottery numbers can't even hit that). According to AMD, some of the 5000 series might hit 2000 if, many would target 1967 if, and all should be able to get at least 1900. This suggests the top performance could be around 4000 MHz RAM, with 3800 being the lowest realistic expectation.

3200&3600 represent the same timing. The 4000 cl19 offers improved performance at 10ns versus 9.5ns with standard memory estimates.

Upgrading the 3200MHz kit to 3600MHz is straightforward. Reaching 4000MHz might require a bit of luck. The performance boost from moving from 3600MHz to 4000MHz on Zen 3 is uncertain, and I’ll have to wait for reviews.

I'm testing a 3000mhz CL15 Crucial ballistix micron die kit at 3733 MHz, adjusting timings soon... Even with the 4000MHz version it depends on other things, but that one looks more stable and better.
