Hey everyone, just a post to check if anyone knows when more CPUs will arrive. I bought my 5900x from a scan, but it got sold out the next day and I ended up on the waitlist. They promised an ETA of 20/11, but no 5900x’s have come through yet. I’m currently 612th in line with 1600 people waiting. The 5600x and 5800x have only gotten about 30-40 CPUs so far, not the huge stock they advertised. Do you have any idea when this big restock will happen? Since this is my first limited tech pre-order, I’m wondering how long I should expect to wait if I’m in that position. Given the current pace, it might take months.
That’s a serious issue with Scan UK. They misused my funds and forced me to wait until the next day for a pre-order, which I didn’t mind much at first since they promised an ETA of 20/11. But if it’s next year, I need my money back.
I didn't mention Scan UK, please forgive any mix-up. I was focusing more on worldwide access for people to purchase one conveniently.
Conditions appear slightly improved overseas. I noticed a report from Finland indicating 5600X was in regular stock, while another location might have been Denmark. The 5800 and 5900 were consistently available.
I think it’s been a while—over a week has passed and they haven’t received the 5900x CPU yet. They still have a backlog of 1600 units. Unless something miraculous happens and they get around 800 more by Friday, I’m not sure it’s realistic. I’m also not very familiar with how often restocks actually occur or if that quantity is even possible.
