Ryzen 5 3600 with XMP profile issues at 3200MHz RAM, crashes during boot, OS freezes, BIOS restarts.
This is my specs CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard - Gigabyte Aorus elite B450 CPU cooler - Deepcool Gammax 400 V2 GPU - Zotac Geforce RTX 2060 super AMP edition Ram - 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200mhz (8×2) HDD - WD 1TB SSD - WD 240GB PSU - Coolermaster 650W Cabinet - Coolermaster K501L My OS keeps crashing, and I cannot boot into windows. I try to boot from bios but still it doesn't work. All it keeps saying is that "Reboot and select proper device". I know for a fact that my SSD is okay as I had it replaced a week ago. What I think the problem is due to enabling XMP profile on BIOS. By default my ram frequency is set to 2137 mhz. When i enable the XMP profile to ensure my ram runs at proper 3200mhz , my OS crashes randomly the next day or within couple a days. When i reinstall windows i find that the bios gets reset again. So is my problem regarding the enable of XMP profile ? If yes then how I can i solve it ? I certainly want fast ram speed that's why I purchased 3200mhz ram. Please help me !!!
Execute memtest64 to verify all RAM modules function correctly.
I’m not confident about this, but I’ll look into it. The issue seems unusual. I reached out to my nearby store where I purchased my PC. They replaced my SSD, reinstalled Windows, and kept testing for about a week using the default BIOS (RAM speed 2137MHz). Once I brought the PC home, I manually set the RAM speed to 3200MHz. The next day, after opening it, the same error appeared.
