You're unsure if your system can run Windows 7 with a Ryzen 5 3600. It's possible the hardware isn't compatible, even if you've installed Windows 7 on a different drive. The issue might be more about the processor not meeting the requirements for Windows 7.

You can set it up, but there aren’t any drivers available for the board. This means features like sound, internet, USB, and PCIe devices (such as your GPU) might not work properly or operate in a very limited setting.

Check drivers available for W7 on the official motherboard site. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/...river&Win7 64

Alright, looks like the problem is with the driver. Well, that means nothing else can be resolved at this point.

It seems unusual since I thought it was impossible. Did they just update it recently?

Some drivers were made in 2018. Quite unusual, but okay.

The MSI Tomahawk drivers are compatible only with Summit, Bristol, and Pinnacle ridge CPUs. The 3600 model requires Mattise CPUs; for the 3600 you should use Windows 10, or if you prefer Windows 7, you must downgrade to a 2700x or lower model.

I don't see that on the website. Please check the link I mentioned for more details.
