Confirm the Pro4 remains an excellent board even with critics calling its VRMs "trash." I own one in my HTPC and it performs flawlessly, especially with a 3600 or any 65-watt TDP chip.

Yes, upgrading your CPU later may require a new motherboard. While I’m not an expert, it seems VRM performs better than Steel Legend in this case.

Fair point. It seems most hardware critics and enthusiasts view the B450m Pro4 negatively because it lacks sufficient phases. Even though it isn't ideal for a 3950x OC board, it's hard to justify spending five times more on a CPU than the system itself. /rant

The Pro4 line offers a more efficient VRM cooling solution. I usually suggest these boards for APUs since they also include a large SOC VRM heatsink with three phases on the SOC. @Siam69 Do you have access to:
- MSI B450 A-Pro MAX https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-A-PRO-MAX
- MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX? https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-GAMING-PLUS-MAX
Both are better than steel legend, Pro4—they’re quite close to Tomahawk (same VRM, slightly smaller heatsink, enough for strong 8-core overclocking).

Yes, it does come with an ARGB header. You might want to check if they offer that option. The color scheme you mentioned isn’t too appealing to you.
