Ryzen offers a better route for upgrading, making it the best choice unless you're deeply passionate about CSGO.

3600 offers a solid upgrade with PCIe 4.0 support, B550 boards, and enhanced RAM options compared to the B360. It provides more efficient performance, overclocking potential, and delivers 6 cores with 12 threads versus the previous 6 cores and 6 threads, giving greater flexibility in CPU usage.

Even the best games aren't among these rare titles when Ryzen really shines, based on the benchmarks I've reviewed.

Cost is quite high, around $80. I plan to spend it on a GPU.

You haven't provided any benchmarks yet, so I need those to compare. Counter Strike tends to show stronger results on Intel processors, which is often cited as a key point in Userbenchmark discussions. CS:GO also excels on Intel, making scores appear more favorable than they might be otherwise.

Why would you need a comparison? Just get a Ryzen 5 1600AF. It performs less well in games, but offers better value.

I inquired since both options fall within the same price bracket and both include 6C/6T models, with the newer one being preferable.

Compared to the 3600? It's not newer. And it's not the same price rang ( at least in your country ) if their is a 80$ difference.

The number is 3500, not 3600. The 3600 is a different chip.
