I've been using pbo and auto oc on my Ryzen 5 3500 for a while. I set the power usage to stay between 95-100%, usually leave TDC alone since it doesn’t seem to impact much, then I adjust EDC and set auto oc to +100. This usually boosts performance a bit. Recently, after updating the chipset drivers B550, the voltage changed from 1.35–1.39 to 1.42–1.45 while running cb r23, and the auto voltage adjusted accordingly. My system now runs at a higher capacity with less fluctuation. I’m wondering if this is safe for regular use or if it might cause wear over time.
