Ryzen 5 3400G MSI A320M A Pro model
I believe there might be an issue with my setup since I and my friend share the same APU (Ryzen 5 3400G) and RAM (16GB, 3200MHz), but we have different motherboards—my MSI A320M-APRO and his AORUS B450. When playing GTA V, I run it at 30 FPS while he runs it at 60-70 FPS, even with identical display settings and stock coolers. What do you think is the cause? Thank you ahead of time.
We share the same setup since I build his rig. However, he achieves the highest FPS and scores across every metric, including benchmarks and actual games.
I turned it on too, we share the exact parts, and I build my friend's setup. Still, his frame hits higher FPS than mine.
This feature appears in GTA V but is also available in other titles. Check if VSync is enabled for your system.
also includes other titles and benchmark tests such as Cinebench. He consistently outperforms me, even with nearly identical hardware specs.
mine and my friend's setup are nearly identical in temperature, but mine ran hotter by about 2%. Both use the same voltage and frequencies, and we're in the same space. He wasn't familiar with overclocking or computer parts, and he only knows about gaming and browsing.
