I've been using my Ryzen 5 2600 for more than two years with a Hyper 212 evo. During idle, the temperatures were usually near 28°C, and during gaming or rendering they stayed in the mid to high 50s. Recently, the fan on my Hyper 212 began making noise, so I replaced it with the original cooler that came with the processor (since I didn’t have another to spare). Now my idle temps are around 40°C, and at full load they reach about 50°C when the system is running. I haven’t started gaming or video editing yet, just to confirm this isn’t due to a faulty CPU or other hardware issues. This is my first time using a stock cooler with this CPU, so it’s possible it’s normal. What should I expect?

It's okay since it operates hotter than expected, but that doesn't imply it's risky or affects performance. A 2600 with stock cooler should work just fine without any loss in speed. If the noise bothers you, you might want to consider another option.
