Based on the setup you described, I maintained strong performance in other titles like Control, Horizon Zero Dawn and Ghost Runner. I purchased the RX 6700 XT from an AMD drop because my GTX 1050 didn’t perform well. I was hoping for some bottlenecks but wasn’t surprised when my older GPU still managed around 50 fps in Minecraft with SUES shaders (new GPU ~30 fps). I also observed that the GPU clock speed rarely exceeded 1200MHz, whereas the RX 6700 XT should ideally run at 2424MHz.

It's due to AMD's OpenGL drivers being quite poor. I also achieve around 150fps without shaders on a 5500 XT while a 1030 delivers three times that. Using Lithium, Starlight and IrisMC made a big difference. Now I reach 120fps with shaders/700, and the drivers perform well on Linux without them.
