Hey, you're thinking about boosting your CPU and considering a new motherboard upgrade. Right now you have 24 GB of RAM (two 8 GB and two 4 GB) running at 2400 MHz. You're wondering if you can just swap out the CPU and motherboard without changing your RAM. That sounds like a smart approach if you're not planning heavy overclocking. Just let me know if you need more details!

You can boost the RAM speed and also separately enhance the Infinity Fabric for better performance. A setting of 2400 works well in most cases, except when you're aiming for extremely high refresh rates.

Third generation is less affected by RAM clock speeds since you can fine-tune the settings. These processors also boast excellent IMC values, which simplifies memory overclocking. Keep using them, and you’ll be able to upgrade later.

It depends on your hardware and game requirements. Running at 144Hz can strain older GPUs or cause issues if the game isn't optimized for that frame rate.

I believe adding more RAM speed will significantly improve performance at 144 fps.
