Ryzen 3800x PBO configuration details
Hello,
I have some questions about my Ryzen 3800X processor.
I’d like to learn from people who have more experience.
I’m using an Asus Crosshair VIII motherboard and an Asus Strix LC360 AIO liquid cooling unit.
I’m trying to boost performance a bit more, but online I’ve read that manual overclocking isn’t recommended for Ryzen 3000 series chips.
Reviews and articles suggest processors work best under variable voltage conditions.
Some say constant voltage isn’t ideal.
All my settings are set to factory defaults. My CPB is in auto mode, and I’m using PBO with an auto range from 1x to 10x (Scala).
I’m wondering if it’s better to adjust this setting or stick with auto tuning.
My goal is to get the best performance without harming or reducing its lifespan.
Could you share guidance on how to configure PBO and Scalar settings?
I've configured one of my bios profiles with XMP activated and the CPU running PBO at 200Mhz.
It receives a decent rating in CB20, though not as high as when it's set to 4.3GHz. What I appreciate about PBO is its efficient idle performance - it uses minimal power.
Check this out: a new clock tuner for Ryzen CPUs is now available.
Is it acceptable to use this application? Since it has been mentioned that it is still unstable.
I'll attempt it. Isn't the operational logic similar to the Ryzen Drama calculator? It provides us with results. We input and store those values in the BIOS?
