Hey everyone, planning to get a Ryzen 3800X with the stock cooler (Wraith)? I'm checking if the temps will be fine. No rush on overclocking just yet. Thanks!

Your CPU features a precision boost 2.0 that continuously tracks temperatures and speeds. There’s no cause for worry unless you’re focused on keeping the system quiet. The standard cooler is relatively quiet and won’t be noticeable to most users. It isn’t a generic Intel model or an outdated AMD cooler from the early days.

Great feedback. I managed to save money by not purchasing the AIOs or Noctua coolers. Regarding your setup, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Cooler Evo works with an i7-4771 processor on an LGA1150 socket. It’s not compatible with AM4, so you’d need to get a different cooler that fits AM4.

212 has existed for a long time, so it comes down to what fits your setup. There are versions that work together. If you own one or still have the components, it’s worth checking.

Oh no, I’m not sure about the Am4 socket. But I can try to find some alternatives if needed.

I own a 212 EVO without AM4 compatibility. If you locate an affordable option, you can apply my instructions to adapt it, and it works excellently.

Thanks for the idea. I'll attempt it once my MB and Chip are here...
