Ryzen 3700x overheating frequently under heavy load.
I finally secured the AM4 bracket for my X62, and after installing it, I noticed my idle temperatures haven’t dropped much since switching from the original cooler. It’s hovering near 60°C during idle but only reaches about 68–70°C when under full load, with room temperature around 20°C. I questioned whether others had experienced this issue, as online sources suggest the chip should ideally run around 40°C. I’m using it at stock clock and voltages on an MSI X70 Gaming Plus Mobo.
The idle temperatures aren't crucial as long as the load temps stay acceptable. To boost performance, ensure proper thermal paste application and correct contact with the IHS.
You just refreshed the thermal paste, secured the screws better, but it slipped out again! Building things too often can make you forget the simple steps.
