You're evaluating how hardware choices impact performance for your planned setup. The differences between the 3400G and 3200G processors are relevant, especially with the integrated graphics handling tasks like Chrome, Word, and Spotify. With 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD, the system should handle multitasking reasonably well. The slight boost in clock speeds won't be the main factor here. If you upgrade to 16GB RAM, the performance gains will become more apparent.

How many windows or applications are open simultaneously? Having 16GB of RAM might be more advantageous compared to the 4GB option.

I’d choose a 3200g motherboard paired with two 8GB RAM modules.

For your sister's upcoming GCSEs, she’ll likely use a few tabs at a time—MS Word and Spotify are common. If you upgrade her RAM from 8GB to 16GB, a better CPU choice would depend on the specific processor model; ensure it matches the system’s requirements for smooth performance.

The 8GB option is sufficient for that use case. The cost variation between the 3209G and 3400G models isn’t specified here.

Sure, you wouldn't need to spend more than £50. Adding another 8GB of RAM would leave you with about £10 remaining.
