Hey there! This forum is a new place—I’m still figuring out why everyone needs so much space even with just one more card. Is it for backup, extra performance, or something else? Are you already running full capacity on your drives?

I have a colleague who operates a PC recycling and repair service. He has numerous used drives from customers who threw them away, and I thought you might be interested. Since no one seems to need more space, it could be a good fit for you.

What graphics card are you using? With that 4x M.2 slot, there isn’t much room for the GPU, and it’s usually best to connect it via an x8 link to the CPU or higher. If the slot is running at x8 speeds, only two of the SSDs will function properly.

It's actually quite reasonable to avoid adding more SSDs, especially given the GPU PCIe lane limitations mentioned by @Electronics Wizardy. A HEDT configuration like a Threadripper would be necessary, but its performance isn't the best compared to Ryzen 3000 or 5000 models. I'm still hoping for the next generation Threadripper from AMD that should deliver better IPC improvements.

It seems there might be some misunderstanding here. You're considering adding more NVMe drives to your system, but the setup could become more complex. Right now, you have three drives, with one or two directly connected to the CPU and the third likely passing through the chipset. If you add a fourth drive with four slots, there might be limitations based on PCIe lane availability and performance constraints. My experience suggests that adding more cards can lead to bottlenecks unless you adjust settings or upgrade hardware. In my case, I needed to modify slot configurations to get the system to boot properly. Ultimately, it might not be worth the effort unless you're planning a significant upgrade.
