So I bought this setup: Ryzen 3 3200G with 2x8GB RAM at 3200MHz, a high-end GPU from Gigabyte, and a 750W power supply. It came with Windows 10 Pro, and I didn’t try to overclock it. The system ran smoothly on games like Far Cry 3 and Ultra 1080p, often hitting around 60 FPS or more. However, the Ryzen 3 struggled—slow, laggy, and low frame rates in many titles. It seemed to work okay in RoboCraft Ultra and Rocket League, but not as well with higher settings. I’m curious why it’s underperforming compared to what others say.
Why are you attempting to play games on ultra using an APU? Is your RAM operating at 3200MHz? You might need to turn on XMP in the BIOS. Begin with 1080p at low settings to check your maximum FPS in each game.
Ensure the RAM speed matches 3200MHz. Consider using Ultra settings with an APU for better performance. For gaming, aim for high settings, while ultra settings suit screenshots. Lower your overall settings and boost your CPU and integrated GPU clock speeds. Install a quality aftermarket cooler such as the CM Hyper 212 Black. Adjust your BIOS to enable overclocking for your APU.
On the lowest options in CS:GO I experience 27-33 frames per second, and the audio sounds heavily compressed.

Well, with a GT630 you can get high frames in old-school CS:GO, but why not run it on ultra? I’ve checked the CPU and GPU stats, watched many videos, and done some benchmarks—this is why I choose these lower spec games.
