Previous setup consisted of a ryzen 3 2200g paired with a gtx 960 2gb and 8GB RAM at 2667mhz. Running apex legends at the lowest settings provided around 60-90 fps with smooth performance. Witcher 3 also ran well in the same configuration, delivering roughly 40-60 fps. I considered upgrading to an rx 570 for better value, though it was challenging due to its user-friendly settings compared to Adrenaline. Currently, I’m experiencing problems with apex legends at low settings (40-70 fps) where frame rates drop and stutter occurs. This performance is less smooth than the gtx 960 which had only 2GB VRAM versus my 4GB. On the other hand, playing Witcher 3 in ultra settings achieved 80-110 fps. I’m puzzled as apex legends seems to stutter and drop significantly compared to YouTube videos where others maintain 100+ fps with the same configuration.

Enable radeon overlay by pressing CTRL + Shift + O. Check your GPU usage in each game; if it's under 80%, you're CPU limited. I favor AMD's software UI over Nvidia's...

Only for apex its having the stuttering issue, I've tried other games and it keeps up. When i played apex legends i was monitoring the gpu usage and it mostly was around 50-60 usage while the cpu was at 100. I really don't understand how the guys who advertised this combo got such a high fps.

I believe the CPU is constrained. The current RAM is also affecting performance. Consider replacing it with a 2x8GB DDR4 3200 kit.

My mobile only supports 2667mhz of RAM, so is it fine to install a single 8GB RAM with the same frequency?
I stream everything at 1080p and I really don’t get how my older GTX 960 played it smoother without any stutters.

This refers to the definition of CPU limitations. When compared to the smoothness of the GTX960, it seems you're experiencing FPS fluctuations because the CPU can handle draw calls faster. The RX570 can then compensate slightly during those times. In contrast, the GTX960 always acted as a bottleneck. What kind of motherboard?

Mobo = mother board.
It might be necessary to consider a more suitable CPU. Could you provide some options within the same price range?
I'm also curious about how certain YouTubers achieve high frame rates using the same equipment I have.

What motherboard are you using? (that was my question)
This YouTube video: Also using a 2200G? Was their 2200G stock clocks or modified? Also a single stick of DDR4-2666? Are you maintaining the same resolution and quality settings as they were? Same GPU driver version (although typically driver updates improve performance...but...)
* Have there been any game updates since then that might have affected performance between the video and your testing time?

Hello, I'm using the basic a320 motherboard from MSI, which is a micro ATX. I'm not sure about having a single stick of DDR4 memory, but I'm sure it ran at the same clock speed. My settings were identical to theirs. What I know is that Apex keeps updating every season for performance improvements.

I realize my CPU is acting as a bottleneck because it's always at 100% usage when the game runs. I tried the RX 570 with a Core i5 6500, and it performed slightly better with about 10% more FPS.

On the other hand, I played Valorant on my Ryzen CPU and got around 90-120 FPS, while the Intel version gave me 120-160 FPS. At that point, I decided an upgrade was necessary. What would you suggest for a solid CPU upgrade that could keep up for at least 3-4 years? The budget should stay under 300$.

Also, do you think overclocking the 2200G would improve performance?

I'm using the stock AMD cooler, so is it safe to use it?
