I recently bought a Ryzen 2600, a gigabyte ga-a320-s2h, and a Corsair vengeance lpx 2400 DIMM. After installing them in my system, I immediately attempted to overclock it. I began with around 4.2 GHz, thinking that was a sensible starting point. Whenever I ran any monitoring software to check the clock speed, they consistently showed values below 3800 MHz. The highest I observed was 3900 MHz, but it only maintained that for a short time. I checked for thermal throttling, but it wasn’t happening—CPU temperatures never went above 70°C and typically stayed near 64°C under load. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The A320 chipset doesn't support overclocking. To achieve higher speeds for this processor, you'll require a motherboard with B350, B450, X370 or X470 chipset.
