1600 12nm (also called the 1600AF) is preferable since it uses a more recent Zen (Zen+). The change is minimal.

12nm offers improvements but isn't a massive upgrade. It's essentially the 2600 model that didn't pass the binning stage.

The 1600 af offers improved FPU performance, higher IPC, better IMC, lower FCLK, and a cheaper price. It also features a better ccx setup, cache layout, and latency. It runs efficiently on Zen + architecture and is more affordable overall. The 14nm version has its own advantages, but this update isn't a massive leap. Edited June 6, 2020 by TofuHaroto

16nm process from TSMC equals 14nm from Samsung; 12nm TSMC matches 10/11nm from Samsung, though the latter hasn't appeared in desktop CPUs before.
