I was thinking about getting Ryse from Rome, but I need to check if it’s a good value for around £15.

It's a repetitive yet visually appealing experience with excellent artistic direction.

It seems the PC version isn't great, especially for the initial release.

Purchased it at a low price towards the end of last year. Didn’t pay much attention while buying, but was pleasantly surprised. Most combat mechanics in this type of game or Assassin’s Creed feel fairly repetitive (based on my experience). I’m okay with that as a drawback. It looked decent on Xbone (my platform), and it might look better on PC if you adjust the settings. Overall, it’s above average.

It’s worth $20 and that’s the price I paid. The game isn’t meant for long playthroughs and doesn’t offer much replay value, but I got through it without a hitch. The foliage looks amazing in-game, and the overall visual style is very appealing. Temporal AA works well, making it a solid-looking experience. Ryse didn’t run into the same problems as many new releases—issues like color distortion or blur are rare. The PC build was solid and manageable, unlike some of the heavier AAA titles today.

It's a stunning piece, that's all. If you aim to become a legionary...you definitely won't succeed since you don't fight like a true legionnaire (though I suppose legion tactics aren't the most exciting for a history enthusiast). The scene is sadly overlooked and could use more attention.

I liked it, but the replay value is average. There are some collectibles, achievements, and unlocks, but I got bored playing in multiplayer since there aren’t many players. About a month ago, at least. Normally it took around six hours to finish the story without searching too much because I was pretty drunk. Haha. Visually, it looks good. The story is really strong, which made me want to try harder difficulty again. I enjoyed the combat, though it felt a bit repetitive. I got mine when it was on sale and I’m glad I did.

Attractive visuals but weak gameplay and disappointing scenarios.
