RX570 Overclocking Problem
RX570 Overclocking Problem
I looked up online and still couldn’t locate a solution for my problem, so I’m reaching out to see if anyone can assist in understanding what’s happening or if there’s something I’ve missed. My XFX RX 570 doesn’t reach above 1342MHz during testing and gameplay of Hitman 2 (the only game I’m currently using). I’m at state 6 with a setting of 1375, and state 7 (maximum) at 1390. I’ve undervolted it to 1000mV as a last attempt to see if it helps. The VRAM is set to 1985MHz. Power is limited to +50%. It’s stable with no glitches in benchmark tests, and I consistently achieve around 60-65FPS without issues. However, the clock speed never exceeds 1342MHz. Temperatures remain at or below 70°C, and the CPU stays under 55°C. Any suggestions on what might be preventing it from reaching full speed would be really appreciated. I’m new to overclocking and this is my first attempt. Here are my system details:
- AMD FX-8320 CPU
- Asus M5A99FX Pro Mobo
- 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600
- Seasonic EVO 620W Bronze 80+ PSU
- XFX RX 570 4GB

When playing at 1008p or lower, your CPU—especially in single-threaded titles—is the main bottleneck. Increasing the GPU's clock speed won't improve performance. Upgrading the CPU would yield better results.
