Performance will drop significantly with single-channel RAM on Ryzen, falling far below 70%. Expect roughly 15-25% reduction in gaming performance, with possible microstutter issues. The FX-8320 offers little improvement over an old i5 and is inferior to older i7 CPUs. It’s essentially comparable to a non-K i7 2600 in terms of speed and much worse than a 2600X, even with single-channel memory. If you choose the 2600X and single-channel setup, consider acquiring a compatible stick as soon as possible. DDR4 memory is affordable now, and you should find a matching stick for under $20 USD unless local availability is poor.
