Hi guys i was thinking of upgrading my gpu from msi gaming x rx 580 8gb to Rx 5600 xt i wonder if i can get a more improved performance with my pc this is my specs as of now:
intel b85m-g
Intel i7 4790
rx 580 8gb
HyperX 32gb ddr3 1600mhz ram
64gb ssd (Os)
1tb Seagate hdd
Seasonic X series 750w
Or maybe if it results some minor bottleneck i wonder what kind of cpu will i chose. I mean i'm just trading in marketplace group like if you are trading with another components higher than you actually have you gonna add some cash.
I was also thinking ordering the 5600xt right now but i'm not sure if its gonna work well. I mean improved my performance in gaming
Thanks!!!!

Hi there!

The 4790 is still a solid performer – a great choice! The 5600XT offers a significant speed increase compared to the 580, and these benchmarks demonstrate that clear advantage. Upgrading to the 5600XT would noticeably improve gaming performance. You could even reuse components like the SSD, HDD, and PSU when upgrading your system – a smart move!

To help me understand your setup better, what resolution and refresh rate are you using on your monitor?

Your Acer VA271 is a solid monitor choice. Upgrading your GPU now and later should be fine – it’s good you’re planning ahead! Regarding your motherboard question, whether you need to upgrade depends on the ports available for your new graphics card. The 5600 XT will likely bottleneck your current 4790 in some very demanding games at lower resolutions, but with a modern GPU like that, it should perform admirably in most titles at 1080p or even 1440p depending on the game settings. Sticking with your existing RAM and storage is a smart move – those components are still relevant!
