Considering Rust and reading reviews, everything seemed great until someone mentioned performance issues. I checked the recommended specs and noticed a GTX 980 with 16GB RAM—seems unrealistic given my past experience. Did they really ruin its performance or was it just a coincidence? Also, wondering why I’m thinking about getting it again since a friend might need it. Here’s my PC setup: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/d4D3Mp

The game only has minor improvements. Performance drops even more because it's a multiplayer experience on Unity, which often contains several graphical issues that hurt speed. They might announce the ideal minimum requirements once they move past early access, likely around 2016.

Today's system specs are often lacking in quality, sometimes just fine-tuned for performance.
