Pretty much what the title says. I get around 40 fps with frequent drops on most servers . I've also begun having an issue where whenever I move my mouse (turning, moving items etc) which make the game unplayable. I've tried using different launch settings (-nolog -high -maxMem=14000 -malloc=system -cpuCount=6 -exThreads=12 -force-d3d11-no-singlethreaded), turning all my settings all the way down. and updating drivers. My temps are around 70-75C for both my CPU and GPU. I've tried googling but I cannot find anything. My specs are: Intel I7 8750H 16GB 2400MHz RAM RTX 2070 I have rust installed on an SSD if if makes a difference. Thanks!
I attempted but the FPS remains unchanged. I used version 451.67 and encountered issues even after updating today.
I discovered some outdated advice about using the igpu. They mentioned checking the settings for the graphics driver. If it's Intel-based, go to the NVIDIA control panel, select 3D settings, and adjust the GPU settings to point to the 2070 model. Set power management to maximum performance—this is usually in global settings, though it can affect gaming speed. Another suggestion was about disabling frame limits; try increasing them and see if it improves stability. If none of these work, I’m really sorry for any confusion, and wish you good progress.
I solved the issue, though I wasn't entirely sure how. I noticed Windows Explorer was consuming a lot of CPU and significant RAM. I spent some time last night trying fixes without success. Eventually, I ran a virus scan which came back clean, restarted my PC, and everything worked fine afterward. I only managed around 70 frames now, so I'll revisit the settings later. Thanks for your assistance!
