I was exploring the BIOS settings and MSI Dragon Center. It seems I might have altered a configuration, which is why the PC is only utilizing one core in the 9700K. When checking performance data in Task Manager, it displays as if using just one core, and Firefox plus Task Manager gives near 100% utilization. I’ve reset options in BIOS and Dragon Center, and also opened msconfig to inspect the processors box, but nothing seems to resolve the issue.

No changes were made to the BIOS. Consider resetting the CMOS.
