Running the Intel i5 8600 at full capacity
Hello. I noticed your Intel i5 8600 is running smoothly now, but when you first turned it on and opened PUBG, the CPU hit full speed and performance dropped to 10-30 FPS with a warping issue. It’s occurred with other games and browsers too. I’ve cleaned the PC, updated drivers, adjusted thermal paste, but the problem persists. What could be causing this?
Track the processor speed. You'd think it should spike during games, but with a strong GPU it shouldn't drop too much.
It's running at around 40 FPS or less in some areas, even when using low settings. I'm concerned about maintaining a stable frame rate.
You thought the CPU was overloaded, but those actions are unrelated to high usage. That seems like a fresh issue? Everything functioned normally until recently? Did you add any new software? Were you browsing unsafe sites? After reinstalling Windows from a USB drive and erasing the disk completely?
It's a fresh issue, everything functioned properly until that day when I powered on the PC and began playing. That's when it started to occur. Before I cleaned up, I just reinstalled PubG again and it persisted. After formatting everything and reinstalling from USB, the problem continued.
What amount of processing power reaches your GPU while gaming? Would increasing the visual effects settings in games help? Lower graphics settings reduce the strain on the GPU, while higher settings increase it and force the CPU to handle more data movement.
