I'm just getting started but I've read about it. I'm trying to find out how much extra speed I can get without raising the voltage. These CPUs have a pretty high default voltage. The 880K processors run at 4GHz with a Turbo boost of 4.2GHz. I plan to begin with a 42x multiplier after turning off Turbo to see if I can maintain that speed continuously. Then I might aim for up to a 10% overclock at 4.4kGHz. The stock cooler should handle it if needed.
Two questions:
A) Should I adjust my RAM at all? I have Corsair 2133MHz DDR3 with the AMP profile selected.
B) Is it okay to keep Cool 'n Quiet on?

Cool n Quite should not be enabled. You don't require any changes to your RAM, as it's sufficient, and overclocking it won't significantly impact performance.
