Running NVMe on a single motherboard can get quite warm.
I transferred the Lexar m.2 NVMe drive from my PC to my son's. The cooling setup and idle temperature were similar to what I experience with my own SSD. It seems like the new SSD might be faulty. I'm planning to return it for a different purpose. I'm still unsure why it shut down and wouldn't stay on yesterday. If it comes back, I'll consider creating another thread to investigate the problem further. Thanks for your help!
I began the return process for the Yottamaster. Which SSD from this selection do you think is the best? For the shutdowns, I used the OCCT app to run stress tests on the CPU, etc. I encountered WHEA errors during those tests, so I reset the BIOS to default optimized settings and turned off XMP. The errors ceased. It looks like that might make a difference.
