Great analysis. Performance seems to hinge on a straightforward triangle setup—bandwidth, CPU, GPU. With the 600mb connection and a 1070 running, any drop in those resources would heavily shift the load toward the CPU, which would be a significant issue. Most of the terrain and building rendering is already handled on the server, reducing pressure on the GPU/CPU. Cheers!
